Jacob has been a competitive swimmer for 20 years and has lived in the San Fernando Valley his whole life. He started swimming at the age of 8 on a Catholic Swim League, winning multiple League High Point Awards. Jake swam and played water polo at Alemany High School, swimming Varsity all 4 years and being team captain for both teams. He helped his relay teams break multiple school records in the 200-medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay, while also competing at CIF for three years. He led the water polo team to the schools first CIF playoff game in the 50 year history of the Water Polo team. Jake then went on to swim with Porter Valley Club, now known as “Rattlers” gaining some very valuable knowledge and coaching techniques. After high school, he attended Valley Community College, swimming and playing water polo while being a top Conference finalist in multiple events and competing in the State Championships. Jake is the Head Coach of the Aquatics Program (Boys Varsity/Girls Varsity Water Polo & Varsity Co-ed Swim Team) at John Burroughs High School. Swimming has always been a major passion in his life. He is very dedicated to helping and motivating others to achieve their goals no matter their age or experience level.
